SONATE is indicated to treat metabolic acidosis which can occur in severe renal disease, uncontrolled diabetes, circulatory insufficiency due to shock, anoxia or severe dehydration, extracorporeal circulation of blood and severe primary lactic acidosis

SONATE is a systemic alkalizer, which increases plasma bicarbonate, buffers excess hydrogen ion concentration and raises pH, thereby reversing the clinical manifestations of acidosis.

SONATE raises blood and urinary pH by dissolution to provide bicarbonate ions, which neutralizes the hydrogen ion concentration. It also neutralizes gastric acid via production of carbon dioxide. Rapid onset of action with 8-10 minutes of duration of action
