Mometasone Furoate 0.1% w/w Cream is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory pruritic manifestations of and psoriasis (excluding widespread plaque psoriasis) and atopic dermatitis in adults and children aged 2 to 18 years.

Mometasone Furoate Cream 0.1% contains mometasone furoate, USP for dermatologic use. Mometasone furoate is a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory activity. Mometasone Cream is used to relieve redness, itching, swelling, or other discomfort caused by certain skin conditions. This medicine is a corticosteroid (cortisone-like medicine or steroid).

Mometasone furoate exhibits marked anti-inflammatory activity and marked anti-psoriatic activity in standard animal predictive models. In the croton oil assay in mice, mometasone was equipotent to betamethasone valerate after single application and about 8 times as potent after five applications.

A thin film of Mometasone Furoate 0.1% w/w Cream should be applied to the affected areas of skin once daily. One fingertip unit (a line from the tip of an adult index finger to the first crease) is enough to cover an area twice the size of an adult hand. Use of topical corticosteroids in children or on the face should be limited to the least amount compatible with an effective therapeutic regimen, and duration of treatment should be no more than 5 days.

MOMECOR Cream is available in 15g of pack filled in laminated tube & packed in Carton.
